Dallas was the son of Dewayne L. and Patricia A. (Keller) Atherton.

Surviving are his parents and one sister, Amber Atherton, all of Spring Bay; grandparents, Jerry and Linda Keller of Peoria; grandmother, Dorothy Johnson of Petersburg, Ill.; 13 aunts and uncles; 24 cousins; and 12 second cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Dallas and Alice Atherton; grandfather, Marden Johnson; great-grandmother, Vida Atherton; great-grandparents, Glenn and Virginia Dixon; and great-uncle, Robert Atherton.

He attended Metamora Township High School, where he participated in football and wrestling before graduating in 2006. After graduation, he worked as a laborer for P.A. Atherton Construction. He was a member of Union Local 165.

Burial will be in Spring Bay Cemetery in Spring Bay.
