Revolutionary War soldier. Husband of Catherine Moon and father of twin daughters Catherine (or some say Susan) "Molly" and Mary "Polly".

In 1779, Solomon joined the North Carolina Militia in Surry County, he was also a known Indian fighter. In 1780 Solomon met his first wife and had twin daughters from their marriage. He was present on March 15, 1781, in the battle of Guilford Courthouse. In 1790 he married Catherine Moon and had 1 child from this marriage. Solomon moved to Claiborne Co. Tn in the early 1800s and applied for his pension in 1832. He was 93 years old at the time of his death.
