Orvil K. (Chuck) Larson was born on May 25, 1931 in Thatcher, Arizona to Stanley Kimball Larson and Zilpha Sophronia Palmer. He died on August 26, 2013 in San Tan Valley, Arizona at age eight-two.

He is survived by his wife Gwendolyn Worden Larson, eight children, forty-six grandchildren and sixty-nine great-grandchildren. Chuck and Gwen were married on January 2, 1951 in the Mesa Arizona Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They were married for sixty-two years. In February 1961, as a result of a transfer with Clover Club Foods Company, Chuck and Gwen moved their family from Thatcher, Arizona to El Paso, Texas. In 1962, He began a successful career with Cardon & Company Real Estate. In 1974, with Gwen acting as Office Manager and Bookkeeper, he realized a dream of starting his own real estate company, Larson & Sons, Realtors. Chuck remained in the real estate business until his retirement. Chuck was a lifelong active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Much of his life was spent in the service of others within and without the church. He served as a youth leader, coach, Boy Scout Leader and many other callings within the Church. His greatest joy was to serve and mentor young people for which he had a special gift.

His children include Douglas C. (Perri) Larson, Franklin Van (Rhonda) Larson, Clark P. (Joan) Larson, Debbie (Tom) Cardon, Alice (Mike) Goodman, Don K. (Peggy) Larson, Charles Keith (Joy) Larson and Richard S. (Dalila) Larson. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The family will receive friends and family at a viewing held Friday, August 30, from 5PM to 8PM at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home, 21809 S. Ellsworth Rd., Queen Creek, Arizona 85142. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday August 31, at the Ironwood Crossing LDS Meeting House located at 41246 N. Barnes Parkway, San Tan Valley, Arizona 85142. Interment immediately following at San Tan Memorial Gardens.
