Joanne (Axe) Kauffman, 82, of Millersville passed away peacefully at Hospice & Communi-ty Care, Mount Joy on Sep-tember 10, 2015. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Anna Mary Axe. She was the wife of Jack L. Kauffman who preceded her in death in 1994. Joanne will be missed greatly by her children, Dr. Jon S. Kauffman married to Donna of Millersville, Lisa Lefever married to Kenny of Quarryville and Dana Kauffman married to Patty of Leola; her beloved grandchildren, Jared Kauffman of Boulder, Colorado, Brandi Kauffman of Lancaster, Justin Kauffman of Lancaster and Ryan Bair stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; and her sister Shirley, married to Richard Kirchner of Ephrata.

Joanne graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School in 1950. She was well known for her kind, friendly and giving nature and brought great joy to all that knew her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Graveside Service at Conestoga Memorial Park, 95 Second Lock Road, Lancaster, PA on Saturday, September 19, at 11:00 A.M.
