Miles A. "Bud" Suydam, Sr., 89, of Millersville, formerly of Lancaster, passed away Sunday at the Essa Flory Hospice Center. He was the beloved husband of Betty J. Ream Suydam with whom he would have celebrated 64 years of marriage on March 26, 2013. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late George and Elsie Benner Suydam. Bud retired in 1989 after 34 years of service from the C-B Tool Company where he worked in the shipping and receiving department. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII serving in the Seabees. He was also a longtime member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lancaster.

In addition to his wife are his children, Miles A. Suydam, Jr. and his wife Carol; George M. Suydam and his wife Mary; Brenda Peace, all of Lancaster; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren. His grandson Dillon DiEugenio and siblings, George and Henry Suydam, Dorothy Weber and Ruth Myers preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held from the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, located at the corner of W. King and Manor Sts., Lancaster PA on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 2:00Pm with the Rev. Peter Schwabe-Fry, officiating. Interment to follow in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. Full military honors will be accorded by the Red Rose Veterans Honor Guard and the VET 21 Salute Honor Guard.
