༻✿ George Alfred Bussmann married Cora Simpson, date is unknown at this time. He and Cora had no children.
The following is from a memorial written by Norwood Christian Church Men's Class:
George Bussmann, his record as a church member of this church and this class shall be read before the assembled class and preserved with all others.
George Bussmann was born Jan. 8, 1886 and reared in a Christian family. He knew the importance of tolerance when he and his beloved wife found devotional outlet in the church of their choice.
He found his church by chance on a Sunday morning walk. He studied in Sunday School under Dr. Craig with Rev. Stauffer as Pastor. George and his wife were baptized at the same time on March 19, 1922 by Rev. Hopkins in the Richmond Str. Christian Church in Cincinnati.
He was the youngest deacon of the church, secretary and church clerk for 8 years, and had a fine class of boys as a teacher.
He was an active member of the choir, and had a double Scout Troupe, and a part in the men's class.
They returned to Norwood Christian Church in 1934 when Rev. Mc Neal was Pastor. He immediately became a teacher and a deacon hear.
He had an average of 45 boys in his class until after the war. He helped organize the young people's department under Elmer Hill. He was superintendent of young people for several years, and after the war helped out in the Jr. And Sr. departments.
He became the Elder immediately after Rev. Mc Lain came here. He was chairman of Elders for 2 years, and secretary for a few more years. He was the secretary of the Federation of Churches here.
He held service pin for 23 years of uninterrupted service.
He gladly missed any opportunities to have a good time in order to be at his church at his appointed place.
George demonstrated a loyalty to his church and his God, which is not often found.
His greatest concern was his family as a unit under God's love.
We the members of the men's class know from personal experience his unselfish devotion to the class and the boys.
May the memory of George Bussmann never fail to impart upon our life the lesson which great and humble men have left behind since time immemorial for us the living as a measure of our life.
May his example stand out before us as something to strive and work for, and may the memory of his friendly smile never be missing in our minds and may his name be spoken with reverence and respect due an upright and Christian man.
Being fully aware of the important part played by his beloved wife and his family in the life of Brother George Bussmann, we the men of the class and no doubt the whole church extend to her and them our love and respect.
One by one we miss the voices
that we loved so well to hear,
One by one their kindly faces
In the darkness disappear.
No one knows the door that opens
through which they pass beyond recall,
Soft as loosened leaves of roses
one by one our loved ones fall.

Gr-Uncle George was a retired printer of the Gibson Art Co. A few years after he retired he was employed on a part time basis at the Enterprise.
My Gr-Uncle George has always been highly spoken of by all in our family. He was always there as a father figure for my dad and his siblings after my Grandpa Percy passed away. My dad always carried a Christian coin of witness given to him by Uncle George.
I never met my Gr-Uncle George, I know he continues to love and watch over the family from his heavenly home. We will always highly regard him and love him and greatly miss him.
May God bless you Gr-Uncle George and may you ever rest in the loving and peaceful arms of God.
