Mildred Lucille Albany 88 of Glasgow died Thursday, March 5, 2009 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Barren Co. she was the daughter of the late Edward & Geneva Smith Albany. Ms. Albany was a member of the Columbia Ave. Church of Christ where she volunteered in Church Benevolence Clothing House. She was retired from Bishop and Bishop Insurance after 55 years of service, a longtime member and past president of the Business and Professional Women's Club, avid bowler and her favorite past time was spending time with her family.

Survivors include a niece Judith Bacon Alexander (Rick) of Glasgow; great nephews Rich Alexander (Tammy) and Matt Alexander (Vickie) of Glasgow; four great great nieces Emily, Bailey, Riley and Brooklyn Alexander and a great great nephew Trey Alexander; a nephew Al Albany of Glasgow and great nephew Willie Albany; a nephew Eric Albany (Terri) of Edmonton, KY; great nephew Austin Albany and great nieces Kacy Albany and Eliza Albany all of Glasgow; a great niece Kim Delk of Glasgow and a sister-in-law Nelda Albany of Glasgow. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a sister Wilma Gladys Bacon, a brother Edward Albany, a niece Annette Delk, a brother-in-law Milburn Bacon and a great nephew Bradly Bacon Alexander.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday, March 9, 2009 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
