Vernon Richard Herman Anderson

September 2, 1928 ~ April 27, 2012

Vernon passed away peacefully at the age of 83. He was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN. Graduating from West High School, he enlisted in the US Army serving during the Korean War. He attended the University of Minnesota, graduated in engineering and married Ellen Louise Glenny. Vernon and Ellen moved to Seattle where Vernon worked for The Boeing Company for 37 years. He was active in his church, loved the outdoors, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.

Vernon is survived by his loving and devoted wife Ellen; his children Susan Ragan (husband Gary), Paul G. Anderson (wife Lizabeth), Eric W. Anderson (wife Danielle), Virginia E. Dow (husband Donald); grandchildren Ian and Matthew Colville; Ryan, Sean, and Stuart Anderson; Brandt, Noah, Grace, and Clara Anderson; Andrea and Olivia Dow. A memorial service will be held June 23, 2012, 11:30 a.m. at the Church of the Resurrection. He will be interred at Tahoma National Cemetery.
