General Forest Partin was the son of Hightower Partin (1792-1876; aka John Hightower Partin) and his young second wife, Mary J. Thompson (1848-1904).

Forest Partin was married to Nancy Warren by Fred H. Houston, JP on August 28, 1884 in Giles Co., Tenn.(See wedding photos). They had four children, only one of whom lived beyond the teen years.

The child who lived a long life, William Forest Partin (now spelled Pardon), married Annie Bell Bevels on October 14, 1914 at Bunker Hill in Giles Co., Tenn. Through William & Annie (Bevels) Pardon, General Forest & Nancy L. Warren Partin had 16 grandchildren. William and Annie (Bevels) Pardon are buried at Maplewood Cemetery in Pulaski, Tenn.

General Forrest Partin's place of burial at Bradshaw-Center Point Cemetery is marked by a simple fieldstone.
