Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Alexander were Sunday, March 30, 2008, at Reed's Chapel in Lexington with Clint Sanders officiating. Burial was in the Henderson County Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Alexander, 74, of Lexington, passed away Friday at her home after a battle with cancer.
She is survived by a daughter, Lynda Robinson of Parsons; five brothers, James, Roby, Jerry, Harold and Darrell Wood, all of Lexington; four sisters, Alma Forrester and Dorothy Byers, both of Illinois, Peggy Tart and Pat Dennison, both of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Robinson Morgan, Jay, Tina, Jonathan and Brandy Alexander, Jenifer Robinson Maness and Laura Robinson Smart; and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Alexander; parents, Olen B. and Louanne Wood; two sons, Steven and Rex Alexander; three brothers, Lanoice, Willie B. and Larry Wood; and two sisters, Marie and Shirley Wood.
