PONTOTOC -- Services for Ed Bennett, 73, Connerville, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pontotoc Methodist Church with the Rev. Gene Hancock officiating. Interment will follow at Connerville Cemetery.

Born April 28, 1924, at Eldorado to Hugh E. and Odessa I. Drake Bennett, he died Jan. 23, 1998, at Edmond. He was preceded in death by a brother.

Bennett graduated from Wanette High School. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the United States Air Force. He had been employed by Monroe Systems before he retired. Bennett was a member of the First Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son, Mike, Edmond; one sister, June Baker, Arcadia; and one grandchild.

Services are under the direction of Corbin Funeral Home.
