Mrs. Marie Helene Nguyen Ngoc Huong was born in Southern of Vietnam in 1923. She was a second eldest in her family. Her mother passed away and left 9 young children. Her twin sister was a nun lived in the convent, Mrs Huong took her younger siblings under her care when she just was a young teacher in her mid 20's. All of them grew up and held their good jobs.

She married to Mr Ho Vo and had three children. Her husband passed away and left three young children for her care. Again, she worked hard to raise her children alone.
Mrs Huong was a genius, understanding and very compassionate lady. She was a great teacher and a remarkable principal of Le Van Duyet - Girl High School. She was on the mission to educate, inspire and empower young women through positive role models by giving them the great teaching and strong encourage.

Mrs Huong was preceded in death by her son Tam Vo who died in the communist's Re-Education Camp on August 1975.
She escaped from Vietnam in year 1980 and settled down in Santa Clara County, Calif. She was a social services worker for Catholic Charities (USCC) from 1982-1993. She dedicated her whole life to serve people and helped to improve the lives of many.

She had been in poor health for months and had suffered from brain tumor.
She is survived by her two daughters and four grand-daughters.

She will be dearly loved and sorely missed.
