Francesco and Rosolia (nee Patella) Scotti became parents to Letizia's father Carmine around 1846.
Carmine worked as a fisherman. He married Maria Giovanna di Giaimo on May 27, 1869 in Agropoli, Italy. Following the birth of several children, Letizia and her twin sister Concetta were born on May 11, 1888*.

Letizia and Nicola appear in the 1920 Federal Census as living in an apartment at 304 State Street, in Wilmerding. Their daughter Giuseppa appears with the American name she was known by, Josephine. Letizia and Nicola's other children who appeared on the census were:
Peter, age 6.
Louis, age 5.
Philomena ("Florence", "Florie"), age 3 years, 2 months.
Ernest, 1 year, 2 months.
During the time the 1920 Census was taken on January 23-24, 1920, Letizia was pregnant. On March 20, 1920 the Muros welcomed another daughter, Rose ("Rosie") to the family.
On February 12, 1921 Letizia contracted Lobar Pneumonia and was attended to by Dr. C. L. Baci. She passed away on February 19, 1921. Funeral arrangements were made through George C. Jones, Undertaker, of Wilmerding, PA.
Letizia was buried at (Old) St. Joseph's Cemetery in East McKeesport on February 22, 1921.
My Mother, Emily Leatrice Serrapede, was Letizia's Granddaughter. She often told me that she believed Letizia was greatly weakened by having so many children in such a short time span after her arrival in America. This thought was shared by my maternal Grandmother Josie who was Letizia's first child.
