Private First Class Lyle E. Goodall was killed on 19 July 1943 in Sicily. Pfc Goodall was a soldier in the Medical Detachment of the 18th Infantry Regiment 1st Infantry Division.
He was buried in the temporary American cemetery GELA in Sicily in grave A-1-3. This cemetery was located opposite the Ponte Olivo airfield in the province of Ragusa.
After the war his remains were reburied in the Sicily Rome Cemetery at Nettuno (Italy) in grave E-1-28.
