Grace M. (McAndrew) Taylor, 89, of New Bedford, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2011, at the New Bedford Health Care Center, after a period of declining health. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Nellie (Thornley) McAndrew. She was born in Fall River and lived most of her life in New Bedford. She graduated from New Bedford High School and Bryant College. She was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and also served as an Altar Guild. Mrs. Taylor was formerly employed as a Secretary at the Newport Naval Hospital until her retirement. Her family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of New Bedford Health Care Center for all of their care and affection given to Grace. Survivors include her cousins Mabel Norman of MN, and Wesley Blake of WI, and several other cousins; her close and dear friends Patricia and Roger Boyer of New Bedford. She was the sister of the late William McAndrew. Visitation will be Wednesday 9 AM to 10:30 AM at Rock Funeral Home followed by her Funeral Service at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church at 11 AM. Interment Acushnet Cemetery.
