Lewis Hayes was born to Annie Hayes and Walter Hayes on Dec 16,1955 in Bridgeton,N.J.He graduated from Alexander Hamilton HS. He attended Medgar Evers College..He briefly worked for the Post Office. .In 1975,Lewis enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he received his boilers license. He was honorably discharged in March 1979.He was proud to have served his country..As a teenager he loved to play baseball.He was preceeded in death by 2 sons,Lou and Andre and 1 sister,Geraldine .He leaves to mourn 5 sisters,Elizabeth,Alice,Lorraine,Jane and Jeannette. 2 brothers Charles and William, 1 grand daughter,Taahira,numerous cousins(of which I'm one)and a host of friends.His Homegoing Service was held on Sat. June 12 and laid to rest June 14 in Calverton National Cemetery..Growing up as kids Lewis was the brother that I never had..He will be sorely missed .RIP CUZ I LUV U..
