Fawn
Ethel M. Brashear, 97, of Fawn died at 8:30 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 17, 2004) at Fair Winds Manor Nursing Home in Winfield Township, where she had been a resident for a week.
Born May 18, 1906 in Brackenridge, she lived in Fawn most of her life.
Mrs. Brashear was a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Tarentum.
Survivors include a son, John A. (Alice) Brashear of Fawn; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three grandsons, Mark (Marla) Brashear of Gibsonia, James (Dawn) Brashear of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Thomas Rossi of Buffalo Township; and two granddaughters, Vicki Gormley of Cranberry and Mrs. Susan (Mark) Tambellini of McCandless.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Brashear; a daughter, Lynn Rossi; her parents, John C. and Susanna Broadfoot Bryan; a brother, James Bryan; and four sisters, Hannah Watt, Isabelle Burk, Grace Nelson and Margaret Coffman.
Relatives and friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME, Tarentum, where services are set for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Stewart A. Pollock.
Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery, Brackenridge.
