Mr. Auffenberg was a graduate of St. Louis University High School and St. Louis University. He attended Midshipman's school at Columbia University in New York City and served in World War II as a Lieutenant aboard the USS Clemson. After the war he entered the family car business. He is the oldest of four brothers of the Auffenberg automotive family. He has been a member of Our Lady of the Pillar Parish for over 60 years where he attended daily Mass.
