Niagara Falls Ny age 81 Donald L Fitzsimmons passed away on Friday April 23,2010 in DeGraff Hospital.
Born May 2,1928 in Niagara Falls NY, he was the son of the late Robert and Ruth(Clark)Fitzsimmons.Donald graduated from Niagara Falls High School and was a Marine serving in WWII.He was an avid sportsman always watching the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres and his favorite NY Yankees.Donald retired in 1989 from Dupont in Niagara Falls NY after 37 yrs and was often emcee for Dupont retirement parties and loved to write poetry.
Donald is survived by his wife Mary T(Castine),four daughters Lynn Fitzsimmons,Donna(late George)Crawley,Tera Smallwood,
Joy(Scott)Hudson and son Luke(Krista)Fitzsimmons and predeceased by son Christopher Fitzsimmons, step-children Paul Souter,Mary(Paul)Bodkin,Jill(Dan)Hubbard.
24 grand children and 7 great grandchildren.

NIAGARA FALLS — Donald L. Fitzsimmons, 81, of Pendleton, NY, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2010 in the DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Born May 2, 1928, in Niagara Falls, New York, he was the son of the late Robert and Ruth (nee Clark) Fitzsimmons. Donald graduated from Niagara Falls High School and was a Marine serving in World War II. He was an avid sportsman, always watching the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres and his favorite, New York Yankees. Donald retired in 1989 from DuPont, Niagara Falls, after 37 years and was often the M.C. for Dupont retirement parties and loved to write poetry. Donald is survived by his wife Mary T. (nee Castine) Fitzsimmons; four daughters, Lynn Fitzsimmons, Donna (late George) Crawley, Tera Smallwood, Joy (Scott) Hudson; one son, Luke (Krista) Fitzsimmons and predeceased by a son, Christopher Fitzsimmons; three step-children, Paul Souter, Mary (Paul) Bodkin and Jill (Dan) Hubbard; twenty-four grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren; a brother, William Fitzsimmons; also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will be present on Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the (Tonawanda Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2600 Sheridan Drive (corner of Parker Blvd.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday from St. Jude Church, North Tonawanda at 10:30 AM. Friends invited. Please assemble at the Church. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
