Rhoda Chancy Coleburn, 94, of Quitman, GA, died Jan. 7, 2006, at the Presbyterian Home after a lengthly illness.
Born in Lowndes County GA, she was the daughter of Thomas Arthur and Rhoda Roach Copeland. She was a homemaker and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Valdosta, GA.

She is survived by her daughter Faye (Bill) Taylor of Cherry Lake, FL; son Glenn Alton (Sue W.) Chancy of Moultrie, GA; daughter-in-law Sue Coleburn Chancy of Hahira, GA; stepsons James (Pat) Coleburn of Madison, FL; and Harry (Amanda) Coleburn of Darlington, SC; grandchildren Hugh (Tina) Chancy, Bert (Cyndi) Chancy, Michael (Mena) Chancy, Richard (Kristy) Chancy, Craig (Dawn) Taylor, Keith Taylor, Johnathan (Misti) Coleburn, Kim (Stuart) Scott, Kathy (David) Lins; 22 great-grandchildren; sisters Cleo Smith of Richmond, VA; Gladys Comus of Huntsville, AL; and Susie Copeland and Evelyn (Harold) Marlowe of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Hubert Chancy and Colton Coleburn; son Hubert F. Chancy, Jr; and brothers Teddy L. Copeland, T. Arthur Copeland, and H. Tally Copeland.
