Lynn Fitzsimmons, of Niagara Falls, died on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, in Niagara Hospice House, following a lengthy illness. She was 61.

Born in Niagara Falls, NY on June 25, 1950, a daughter of Marilyn J. (Winker) Fitzsimmons of Niagara Falls and the late Donald L. Fitzsimmons. Ms. Fitzsimmons graduated from the former LaSalle Senior High School, Class of 1968. She worked for Chemical Waste Management as a dispatcher.

An avid and dedicated Buffalo Sabres fan, she and her sister regularly attended the home games. She was very optimistic that this season they would bring home the cup. Lynn also loved the music of the 1960's-1970's, especially the Moody Blues and Three Dog Night. Lynn was a devoted caregiver to her mother and loved her cats, Bruin and Spooky.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sister, Donna Crawley (late George) of Niagara Falls; dearest friend, Sue O'Mara of Niagara Falls and her dear aunt, Lois Rainer Weinberg of Houston, TX. She is also survived by many cousins. She was predeceased by her twin brother at birth, Christopher.
