On December 18, 1939 Howard William Conaway and Etta Mae Hammons were united in marriage in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. To this union were born 4 children; Joy, Floyd, Lois, & Dale.
Howard had spent most of his life in the Bristow area. He worked as a Contract Pumper in the oilfield over 67 years. He was a member of the Bristow Free Will Baptist Church. His hobbies were gardening & yard work. He was an avid football and baseball fan, he especially liked watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Atlanta Braves.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Etta Mae Conaway of Bristow. Four children; Joy Henry of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Floyd Conaway of Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, Lois Rogers of Bristow & Dale Conaway of Tulsa. One sister, Helen Standefer of Bristow. Eight Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Virgil & Ralph Conaway and two sisters, Eunice Reinhardt and Alma Gillis.
Graveside services are 2:00PM, Monday, November 8, 2010 at Magnolia Memorial Gardens with Brent D. Matherly officiating.
