Christine Maria Chester, age 73 of Denton, TX passed away, September 27, 2012. She was born on June 4, 1939 in Mexico to Joseph and Maria Holguin. She married Elton Chester on December 11, 1960 in El Paso, TX. She was born into a very poor family in Mexico, she had 2 sisters and 5 brothers. She wanted very much to make her life better so she would go across the border daily to clean houses and go back to Mexico each night. Her life changed for the better when she met Elton and they were married and moved to the United States. Christine knew very little English but with the help of her husband soon mastered the language. She was at times a stay at home Mom but when her kids reached an age when she thought they would be alright without her at home she started to work. She mainly worked in retail because she loved working with people. She continued to charm people up until the very last day of her life.
