Norma Jean Bartels, age 81 of Corinth, Texas and formerly of Denver, Iowa, passed away on December 9, 2013 after an unexpected and brief illness. She was born on July 27, 1932 in Wadena, Iowa to James and Maude Fox. She was married to Clarence Bartels for 50 years. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister, Vida Faust. She is survived by her brother, and her son and daughter. She had five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Norma loved to crochet and sew, and created unique crafts that she sold at shows and consignment shops for many years before and following her retirement from management at K-Mart. The things she created were beautiful, and she donated and gifted a lot of her creations. She adored all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She would usually spend a month or more in Texas each winter. In March of this year, she decided to move to Texas, and got her first pet in years – a cat she named "Kitty". We all love and miss her, but will never forget her.
