Gospel singer Dr. Robert "Bobby" Clark was the original tenor for the Cathedral Quartet. He was the last surviving member of the original quartet. During his career, he also sang with several other quartets. In addition to his music career, he was also an ordained Baptist minister, earning a doctor of divinity degree. In 1994, he was honored for his musical career with the "Living Legend" award.Original Cathedral Quartet Tenor Passes Away

Bobby Clark, original tenor for the Cathedral Quartet, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at 12:10 p.m. He had suffered a stroke in February. A celebration of life service is planned for Saturday, May 31, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., at the Temple Baptist Church in Flower Mound, Texas.

Mr. Clark was the last surviving member of the original lineup of The Cathedral Quartet. Danny Koker (baritone/pianist) passed away in 2008, George Younce (bass) in 2005, and Glen Payne (lead) in 1999.

Memorial service will be May 31st at 11:00 AM at the Temple Baptist Church, 2501 Northshore Blvd, Flower Mound TX 75028 972-874-8700. Funeral arrangements by Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, Lewisville TX.
