Earl Dwayne Byler, 69, passed away Friday, December 25, 2015 at his home in Bakersfield, CA. Dwayne was born in Jonesboro, AR on October 15, 1946 to Eddie and Virgie Byler. He was preceded in death by his father Eddie and mother Virgie. He is survived by his sister Sharron Pearson and her husband John of Lewisville, TX; his sons Zach Byler and his wife, Armida, of De Pere, WI, and Travis Byler of Bakersfield, CA; grandsons Logan and Ollin Byler of De Pere, WI; nieces Michele and Heather Pearson, and a nephew, Rylan Pearson, all of Lewisville, TX.
Dwayne spent his early years in Lewisville and was a graduate of Lewisville High School. He entered the Marine Corps after earning a degree in Accounting from the University of North Texas. Dwayne went on to serve in Vietnam, earning a purple heart for injuries sustained in combat and the silver star for valor. He returned home to Lewisville, TX once his service ended.
In later years he and his wife and sons lived in Montana, New Mexico, and California, where he stayed until his passing.
