Patricia "Pat" Gail Bozeman of Thackerville, OK was born April 18, 1941 at Thackerville, the daughter of D.Z. and Martha Pauline Chaney Jones. She passed away Monday, January 17, in Lake Country Nursing Center, Marietta, at the age of 69.
Mrs. Bozeman returned to Thackerville to make her home in 1972, previously living in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area. She and Roy L. Bozeman were married in Richardson, TX on June 20, 1963, and he preceded her in death on March 8, 1989. Mrs. Bozeman graduated from Thackerville High School and had been employed as a cook at The Hub Restaurant in Marietta. She liked going to the casino with her friend, George, playing cards, especially canasta, and meeting friends at the diner for breakfast and lunch. Mrs. Bozeman always enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Thackerville First Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; infant son; two brothers, A.D. Jones and D.A. "Pete" Jones; and two sisters, Rozella Green and Ruth Pinkston.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Roy Bozeman, Jr. and wife, Terrie of Thackerville; brother, Willy Lee "Dick" Jones of Las Vegas, NV; three sisters, Emma McGuffey of Dallas, TX, Etheline Craft of Thackerville and Zadiella Darter of Fort Worth; stepgrandson, Steven Kuhnly of Thackerville; and special friends, George Holder and Diane and Roy Manghan, all of Thackerville.
Bearers will be Cody Jones, Cory Jones, Bob Pinkston, Paul Dale, Tim Jones, Danny Sampson, James Maggard and Jimmy Craft. Honorary bearers are Darrell Maggard, Tommy Jones, Donny Jones, David Green, Steve Kerr and Randy Leavett.
