Ksenia was said to be kind, full of fun and party-loving. She was a student at Russian International Academy of Tourism.

She died on December 6, 2014, at 2 a.m. in a house fire in Khimki after trying to burn her boyfriend's belongings while being under the influence of alcohol.
Since the fire was not letting her reach the apartment door and run away, she had to stand in the kitchen window screaming, crying, pleading madly for help. Witnesses say there were firefighters soon, they would rescue Ksusha in a couple of minutes but the young woman was so afraid of the fire that she jumped down from 9th floor and died.
The fire and Ksenia´s death were filmed by witnesses and are avaliable on Youtube.
The events leading to her death caused outrage in Russian part of Internet. People were mostly victim-blaming. There is a strong opinion that Ksusha died because she was so stupid that she tried to make a bonfire indoors.
Anyway I don't think anyone should judge Ksusha, she was just a young girl, drunk and angry after having a big arguement with her boyfriend. She might be not the cleverest person in the world but she suffered terribly in the last minutes of her life and died as a martyr not only by her own fault but also because firefighters had no way to drive up to the house and when they did Ksusha was already on the ground dead.
So this memorial is created in rememberence of a young life gone in a terrible way.
