VERNON -- Iola H. Brennan, 62, of Vernon, passed away on July 28, 2012 with her loving family at her side. She was born on April 3, 1950 a daughter of Theodore and Alice DeJarlais Semmler in Brainerd, Minn. On Sept. 20, 1974 she was united in marriage to William E. Brennan in Cheyenne, Wyo. Iola and her husband Bill own and operate Brennan's R/C Hobbies on Route 5. Her hobbies included cross stitch and crochet. Iola's family will always remember her true passion as being an avid Lego's enthusiast.
Surviving Iola is her loving husband Col. William Brennan, retired U.S.A.F. of 37 years; six children, Linda Brennan of Manhattan, William Brennan of Massachusetts, Theodore Shepard and Roni of Missouri, Thomas Brennan and Dawn of Vernon, Michael Shepard and Denise of Iowa, and Christopher Brennan and Sabine of Georgia; three sisters, Fralayla Tilbury and David of Minnesota, Alverna DeJarlais of Florida and Lavonne Dixon and Dan of Florida; one brother Theodore Semmler of Minnesota; many beloved grandchildren; four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday July 31, 2012 at Owens-Pavlot and Rogers Funeral Home 35 College St., Clinton. There are no calling hours. Interment will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery.
