Frank “Boose” Cardine Abner, husband of Elma Spencer Abner and the son of the late Lewis Abner, Jr. and Sarah Taulbee Abner was born in Primrose, Kentucky on July 17, 1928 and departed this life in Hazard, Kentucky on March 28, 2016 at the age of 87 years, 8 months, and 11 days. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War and he attended the Beattyville Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to his wife Elma, he is survived by two sons, Arvin Abner and wife Pauline of Houstonville, Kentucky, Forrest Abner of Beattyville, Kentucky, and Danna Hensley and husband Danny of Jackson, Kentucky; one step granddaughter, Tammy Lovin; one step great grandson, Dustin Toombs, both of Stanford, Kentucky; one special niece, Chester Ann Garnett of Lexington, Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers, Bill, Bob, Bethel, Gerald, Curt, Jim, and Sam Abner; and two sisters, Emma Jo Marshall and Susie Marshall.
