Funeral services for Mrs. Dena Joan Ashworth will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 in St. Matthew Baptist Church, Oakdale with Reverends Kenneth Crumbley and Mike Willis officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mrs. Ashworth, 49, of Oakdale entered eternal rest on Monday, December 7, 2009 in Oakdale Community Hospital.
Dena was a Baptist by faith and a graduate of Bolton Avenue Beauty School.
She was preceded in death by her two sons, Cody Ashton Ashworth and Larry Dean Ashworth. Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss are her loving husband of twenty-eight years, Larry Ashworth of Oakdale; one step-son, Christopher Larry Ashworth of Houston, Texas; her parents, Raymond and Addie Willis of Oakdale; one brother, Jerry Bond of Oakdale; two sisters, Becky Marcantel and Sandy Willis, both of Oakdale; two half-brothers, Wilford Willis and Andrew Willis, both of Oakdale; one half-sister, Judy Glenn of Oakdale and one grandchild, Kalea Lynn Simmons.
