Mr. Buxton was killed about 11 a.m. Friday when a tree fell on his near Eunice. He was a log cutter.
Survivors are his wife, and one step-son, Raymond Willis, both of Oakdale; three daughters, Mrs. Edith Willis of Elizabeth, Mrs. Ada Trammel of Dumas, Texas and Mrs. Euerie Mason of Amarillo, Texas; three brothers, Hubbard Buxton, Ralph Buxton and J.C. Buxton all of Oakdale; two sisters, Mrs. Callie Maricle of New Orleans and Mrs. Eula Doyle of Oakdale; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
