Wanda I. (Walker) Benningotn, 78, of El Dorado, died Monday, June 1, 1992, at Susan B. Allen Hospital. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church with burial following at 2 p.m. in Udall (Kan.) Cemetery.

She was born Aug. 21, 1913 in Adams, to Claude and Mabel Witesell Walker. She was a homemaker and a private sitter. She moved to El Dorado from Clearwater, Kan., in 1935.

She graduated from Harper High School and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in El Dorado, West Branch Extension Unit, Sunchasers Camping Club, The Girls Club, Pinochie Club and Knife and Fork Club. On Oct. 6, 1935, she and Gerald G. Bennington were married in Kechi.

Survivors include: husband, Gerald; son, Gerald E. of El Dorado; four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and onw brother, Johnny.

Memorials have been established with Hospice Inc. and First United Methodist Church. Carlson Funeral Home has the arrangements.
