A lifelong resident of Tallahassee, she was a dental receptionist until her retirement. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Women's Circle.
She is survived by her husband, Barton Abstein of Tallahassee; a son, Bart Abstein of Atlanta; two daughters, Lillian Reese of Tallahassee and Nancy Buzzett of Port St. Joe; two brothers, Leon C. Tully and Jack Tully, both of Tallahassee; three sisters, Elizabeth Payne of Tallahassee, Wynn Hughes of Lake Wales and Mary Frances McGinty of Grand Prairie, Texas; and six grandchildren.
