Reverend Carl "Track Man" Alexander, 103, Paducah, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2013, 12:40 pm at the McCracken Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Paducah.

Reverend Alexander was the founder and pastor of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church of Paducah. He was also a former pastor of White Oak Missionary Baptist Church of Paducah and Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Choates, Il. He received his Doctor of Divinity Degree from the Hopkinsville College of the Bible. Reverend Alexander was formerly employed at the Arcade Barber Shop where he practiced the art of shining shoes for 70 years. He had also been employed by both Guy Gray Supply Company and the Charles Hamilton Barber Shop.

Reverend Alexander was preceded in death by his parents Willie and Maggie Jones Alexander, brothers Ray, Reed, Robert, and Homer; and sisters Minnie, Samantha, and Hattie Ann.

He is survived by two daughters, Nancy Martin Sneed Latham and Debra Irene Martin Allen, both of Grand Rapids, MI; one son, Ray Gurtie of Paducah; five grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Service for Reverend Alexander will be Saturday, August 31, 2013, 1:00 pm at Walton Grove Presbyterian Church, 100 Radford Lake Road, Henry, TN. Reverend Henrietta Owens will officiate and burial will follow in Caton Spring Cemetery also in Henry, TN.

Friends may call at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home on Friday, August 30, 2013, from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm, with special visitation from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Friends may also call at Walton Grove Presbyterian Church, 100 Radford Lake Road in Henry, TN, on Saturday, August 31, 2013, from 11:00 am until the funeral hour.
