Adams, Barbara Jean ( Ames ), age 80, of Dayton, departed this life November 18, 2010 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
A native of Hillsboro, Ohio and a Dayton resident the majority of her life.
Retired employee of Inland Manufacturing Company after 29 years of service.
She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Hazel Ames 2 brothers, Dr. Harvey Ames, Jr. & Johnny Ames 2 sisters, Geneva Montjoy & Irma Butler.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 48 years, Andrew Adams children, Tina (Samuel) Smith, Mark Adams, Patricia (David) Black & Mary (Billy) Hawthorne brother, Raymond Ames 2 sisters, Mary (Bobby) Hudson & Myra (Wayne) Calvin 12 grandchildren including special grandson and granddaughter, Andre' Adams & T'Mia D'Shay Adams-Mooty 15 great grandchildren special niece, Marie Rivers a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service will be held 1 pm Friday, November 26, 2010 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 3801 Fairbanks Ave. Rev. Timothy Newkirk officiating.
Interment Dayton National Cemetery.
Visitation 9 am Friday at the church until the time of service.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
