Harold Ball, 89 of Georgetown, Texas passed away February 06, 2013.

Harold was born July 21, 1923 to Thomas James and Myrtle Viola Hayes Ball in Boyce, Louisiana. Harold served his country honorably during WWII. He met the love of his life, Mary Kaythn Fought, at an ice cream parlor in Austin, Texas and they were married in Fort Bragg, North Carolina on September 24, 1944. They lived in Louisiana for a period of time and then in Phoenix, Arizona for over 29 years before moving to the Georgetown, Texas area.

Harold held a special place in his heart for children and it was his philosophy that all children should have a bicycle. He would refurbish old bikes to look as good as new and give them to children who did not have a bicycle. Harold gave them generously to the children's homes in Lulling, Creedmoor and the Texas Baptist Children's Home in Round Rock. Harold was known as "The Bicycle Man".

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Goldman Ball; sister, Wilberta C. Boulet; and brother-in-law, Wilbert Boulet. Harold is survived by his wife of over 67 years, Mary Kaythn Faught Ball; sisters-in-law, Patricia Weiss Faught,Sadie Faught,and Elizabeth Fought.
