Reason was the son of Andrew Jackson BIGGS and Susannah GODBEY BIGGS.

Rezin G. Biggs was also known as Reason and Reed. He was born December 26, 1837, in Floyd County, Virginia. He married Virginia C. Windsor in Fayette County, on February 15, 1867. Virginia was born April 3, 1847, in Fayette County. Reason is listed in the 1860 Raleigh County census as Reason G., laborer, and age 22. He is living with his family. In the 1870 Raleigh County census, he is listed as Reed age 30, a farmer married to Virginia, a housekeeper. By 1880, they had seven children. I believe Virginia died in 1900.
Death records show Mrs. Reed Biggs, an American, died March 6, 1900, at age 50. The place of death was Prosperity. She was ill for five days with pneumonia and fever. G. W. Gibbs was the undertaker in Beckley. Virginia is believed to be buried in the Biggs Cemetery. Reason G. is listed in the1900 Raleigh census as widowed. He is listed in the 1920 Raleigh census on Quinnomont Road. Rezin G. Biggs served in the Civil War. His headstone states he died January 18 1925. He is buried in the Biggs cemetery off Dry Hill Road, Dry Hill, Raleigh County. An R. C. Bigg is listed in the death records for the date January 18, 1924. Line 9 states R. C. was an 87-year old widower who died at Sprague, Raleigh County.
