William"Bill" Ringle, 84, of Republic, passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 23, 2014, at his home, after a one year illness. He was born Sept. 13, 1929, in Bloomville, to William J. and Nora B. (Bollinger) Ringle, and the mother that raised him, Ella (Breyman) Ringle. He married Margaret "Peg" Eshenbrenner Sept. 6, 1951, in Fayetteville,NC., and she survives in Republic. Other survivors include, a son, Dennis E. Ringle of Willard, three daughter, Linda m. (Jerry) Fichter, and Jodi L. Roessner both of Shelby, and Deborah A. Everhart of New Albany, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, a sister Marilyn Lake of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Kathleen Tusing, Imogene Potter, Pat Wheelock, and two son in-laws, David Roessner and David Everhart. Bill worked as a heavy equipment operator for Weott Excavating, Felter and Weinandy, Allen Excavating, and R and I Construction, retiring in 1996. He attended Scipio-Republic High School, served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the Wade Benfer American Legion Post #404 in Republic, a member of the Ohio Operating Engineers, and a life member of the Tiffin F.O.E. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014, at the Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR. 19 Bloomville., with Pastor Shane Helems officiating. Burial will follow at Farewell Retreat Cemetery, Republic. Wade Benfer American legion Post #404 Republic will conduct military graveside services. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Republic EMS, or to the Wade Benfer American Legion Post #404.
