Albert Shaw Sr was the last surviving son of Reverend Andrew and Inez (Anderson) Shaw. He was born in Johnston, SC, and named after his late Uncle Albert Shaw (Andrew's older brother). Albert attended the Johnston Public Schools System. He also attended college in Maryland, once his family relocated to Baltimore. Albert was the father of four sons, and was a single parent to his last two sons. He was very dedicated to them, and was rarely seen without his two boys. Albert was very instrumental in gathering family together, for their annual family reunions. He and his two sons, on their bicycles, were frequent attendees at those reunions. Albert was very helpful and participated, in gathering and contributing, a lot of the family's history. Albert was real friendly and had the umph, that many politicians have. Eventhough he was bravely battling with cancer, Albert never failed to reach out to his family, and to stay in touch with them.
