She was born June 26, 1958, in Everett, Wash., to Earl and Ernestine Richardson. She lived in Longview from 1971 to 1980 and attended R.A. Long High School. She also lived in Ekne, Norway, and London, England.
She studied culinary arts at the Art Institute of Seattle and Skagit Valley College in Mount Vernon, Wash.
Ms. Jonvik held numerous jobs in her life, but she was proudest of her employment in 2002 as commis pastry chef at Brasserie Roux restaurant in London and at Cliveden House hotel in Taplow, England. She also was a freelance writer on food and wine.
Cremation will take place in Renton, Wash., and her ashes will be scattered in the spring.
