On October 20, 2014, Julia B. Mitchell, of Waterville, passed away to take her place in heaven. She was born May 25, 1922, in Franklin, TN, to William and Flora Smith. She married Elmer, on February 7, 1942. Julia worked at The Lion Store for 25 years as head switchboard operator. She and her husband raised their four daughters in Toledo's Old West End, later moving to Perrysburg. She was most recently a resident of Browning Masonic Community. She was a founding member of Echo Meadows Church of Christ where she was a committed member for over 75 years. Her faith in The Lord was strong, her convictions never waivered. She enjoyed china painting and was a member of the Toledo China Painters Guild. She is survived by her brother, Claude Smith, daughters Teri (Chip) Miller, Judy (Rick) Cox, Claudia Spann, 11 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Otto, Otis, and James Smith, sister Edna Harris, daughter Mary Francis Vilela, son-in-law Ronald Spann, grandson Shane Cox, and great-grandson Ashton Cox. She will be remembered for her love of travel, good china, linens, train rides, flowers, and Bible verses. Friends may call on Wednesday, October 22, at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, 7220 Dutch Rd., Waterville from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 23, at 11:00 am, at Echo Meadows Church of Christ, 2905 Starr Ave., Oregon. The family will greet friends at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Echo Meadows Church of Christ or Browning Masonic Community, Waterville
