Tommy Carwyle, Jr., of Walcott, Ark., son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Carwyle, Sr., of Steele, was killed July 8 in a one-car accident near Walcott. Injured in the crash, but not seriously, was his girl friend of Beech Grove, Ark. Young Carwyle was dead on arrival at an area hospital. The accident occurred about 8:00 p.m.
Services were held July 11 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Walcott at 2:00 p.m.
Tommy leaves, in addition to his parents, a brother, David Lee, 18, of Walcott, and a sister, Donya Lynn, 5, of the Steele residence.
The senior Mr. Carwyle is employed at Caffey's IGA in Steele.
