John Berryhill was born on Dec. 26, 1939, in Ardmore. He passed away on Oct. 22, 2014, in Fresno, Calif. John was one of three children born to J.D. and Esther Berryhill.


John attended Washington Grade School from 1946 to 1951, Ardmore Junior High and Senior High from 1952 to 1958, then the University of Oklahoma from 1958 to 1962. He was employed by The Equitable from 1962 to 1999, and was a Fellow of the Life Management Institute. He also volunteered as Stewardship Chairman for Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Food Pantry Dispensary in Fresno, Calif.


He is survived by his children, Matthew Berryhill and his companion, Sherrie, Joseph Berryhill and his wife, Anne and Rachel Lehan and her husband, Adam; and grandchildren, Aidan, Adeline and Henry. He is also survived by his sister, Anne Cole; and numerous nieces and nephews.


A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, at Yost & Webb Chapel.
