ROSEMARY SALERA LITJEN Obituary —-
Rosemary Salera Litjen, of Las Vegas, passed away Dec. 4, 2014, in Henderson, a week after her 90th birthday. The family and friends she leaves behind will miss her more than words can express, but we rejoice to know she is re-united with the love of her life and husband, Paul Litjen.
Rosemary was born in Los Angeles, to James Salera and Josephine Pecci Salera. She was the last surviving member of her siblings, Frank, Mario, Carlo and Marilyn. Rosemary joyfully dedicated her life to her family and children, son, Bill Litjen (Kandi); daughter, Cynthia Litjen Altemara; sons, Paul Litjen (Donna) and Bob Litjen (Lynne); and daughter, Therese Litjen Colvin. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Mariah Altemara Schwenn (Tony), Chase Altemara (Samantha) and twins, Stuart and Grace Litjen; and her great-grandchildren, Athena and Dominic Schwenn.
Rosemary was a gift from God known for her genuine smile, sense of humor; and a generous spirit that was always willing to see the good in people. Friends and family will remember her for her love of family, proud Italian heritage, cookies, home-made jams and canned peaches.
You are welcome to attend a celebration of her life at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at South Hills Community Church, 9220 Manhattan Road, Henderson, NV 89074.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to one of Rosemary's favorite charities, Sonrise Quilters (South Hills Church Community's quilting ministry), donations may be made attn: Jackie Perez, c/o G.O.
