Daughter of the late Douglas Tate and Mary Tate Rodgers, she was born on Feb. 9, 1929.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Arthur Douglas Peak and Jerry Madison.
She is survived by two daughters, Marshall Crawford and Reba Nelson, both of St. Louis; four sons, James Edward Tate, Dwayne Madison, Ross Madison and Daryl Madison, all of St. Louis; her siblings, Willie O. P. Tate, Willie Douglas Tate, Grady Tate, Ellis Tate, Ulysses Tate, Cora Lee Mills, Lillie Mae Allen and Rodell Tate; 14 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Annie Mae Tate of Gaffney and Georgia Tate of New York; and a host nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 20 at 3 p.m. at the home of her niece, Mary Williams at 606 Railroad Avenue.
