BAYOU VISTA — Mr. Kenneth Warren Edwards passed from this life Saturday evening, January 8, 2011, at his home. Born February 14, 1946 in McAllen, Texas, Mr. Edwards had been a resident of Bayou Vista for 12 years, previously of Houston. He served in the US Air Force for 10 years and had been employed as a USDA Inspector, having retired in 1999 after 30 years of service. He was an avid fisherman, a member of the SWAT Fishing Club and the Texas City Anglers and enjoyed repairing rods and reels, helping in tournaments and helping other people in their time of need. He was preceded in death by his parents, D. C. and Francis Laverne (Cook) Edwards.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Judith Faye Edwards of Houston; sons, Kenneth Roscoe Edwards of Miami, Florida, Daniel Brian Edwards of Bayou Vista; brothers, Donald “Butch” Edwards of Florence, Texas, Rick Edwards and wife, Maureen of Alice, Texas; sisters, Martha Sharon Raleigh and husband, David, Judy Pullen and husband, Mike, all of McAllen; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. A private cremation will be conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501.
