RICHMOND, Ind. – David Duane Glunt, age 55, of Richmond, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, May 29, 2015. Born December 24, 1959, in Richmond, Indiana, to Wilbur H. and Patricia L. Paxton Glunt, Dave was a life-long resident of Richmond. He was a 1979 graduate of Richmond High School. Dave was, for 17 years, a Certified Master Mechanic for AVI Food Services and formerly employed at Kroger for 18 years as Head Stock. He was a member of the Eldora Speedway Boosters Club. Dave was a NASCAR fan and an avid reader. He was very knowledgeable about naval ships and was a deeply spiritual man. Dave enjoyed collecting Jeeps, restoring cars, and he loved animals. He was known as “Armadillo Dave”. Dave was a big hearted man who dearly loved his family. Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Cinda S. Ellison Glunt, to whom he was married on September 11, 1999; daughter, Nicole (Allen) Stinson of Richmond; grandson and little buddy, Colton Stinson; granddaughters, McKenzy and Kaylee DeBoo; Jason (Jenny) DeBoo; nieces; nephews; father-in-law, Herman Ellison of Richmond; and many friends, including his best friend, Zoey. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Vivian, Charlotte, and Jennifer. A memorial visitation for David Duane Glunt will be held from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2015, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2015, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Louie Burkhart officiating.
