Nora Elizabeth “Jackie” Michel, age 85, of Springfield, Missouri, formerly of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 9:32 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2015, at her home. Jackie was born February 22, 1930, in Monett, Missouri, the daughter of the late Faye and Lilly (Young) Sisco. On September 29, 1949, she married Jimmy Michel, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Jackie and her husband started Jimmy Michel Motors in Aurora in 1968. She loved working at the dealership alongside of her husband, son and daughter-in-law. She was an avid golf player, loved spending time with her family, traveling with her grandchildren and loved gambling at the casino. She was a 50 year member of the First Presbyterian Church in Aurora. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, of 65 years Jimmy of the home; one son, Tim (Rita) Michel, of Springfield; one daughter, Libby (Bruce) Grisham of West Plains, Missouri; one sister, Frankie Tjarks of Iowa Falls, Iowa; four grandchildren, Stacey (Chris) Vaught, Kami (Eric) Shoenberger, R.B. (Jackie) Grisham and Amy Grisham; seven great-grandchildren, Chad, Bryant and Ashley Vaught, Emilie and Eric Shoenberger, Robert and Kellett Grisham. Her two sisters, Joann Ezell and June Williams also preceded her in death. The family would like to say special thanks to Jackie's nurse, Jody Davis. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2015, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Monday, August 10, 2015, in the funeral home chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Aurora in care of the funeral home.
