David N. Keefer, 82, of Pottsville, passed away peacefully on Thursday in Rest Haven Nursing Home, Schuylkill Haven.
Born in Catawissa, May 21, 1933, he was the son of the late Marvin W. and Louise Ash Keefer.
He proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War.
David worked as a welder at Dana Parish Corp., Reading, for 31 years and retired in 1998.
He enjoyed spending his time going on bus trips with Trinity Lutheran Church and visiting casinos.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Adele T. Keefer, in 1998.
David is survived by a sister, Carol Sterner of Heckscherville; two brothers, Robert Keefer of Hellertown, and Sheldon Keefer, Florida; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home Inc., 1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, with Pastor Chris Rothharpt officiating.
